NAOMI
CIRCLE MEETING
The Naomi Circle is a vital outreach of our church. Its endeavor in White
Cross brings grateful response from our Missionaries of our American Baptist
Churches. They state that without the support of the American Baptist
Women, much of their caring endeavor could not materialized. The Naomi
Circle meets on the first Monday evening of each month at 6:30 p.m. in
the Pacesetter room. If you are interested or would like to get involved,
join us or call the church office for more information.
SATURDAY SISTERS
ALL CRAFTERS WELCOME
Do you start a craft and never finish? Can you find the half-done afghan
you started when Timmy was born? What about that shoebox of pictures that
needs to be put into albums? Well, "Saturday Sisters" is here
to turn drudgery into delight, punishment into pleasure and avoidance
into accomplishment.
We meet the first Saturday of every month (unless a holiday). We enjoy
great lunches and desserts. We celebrate birthdays and enjoy the company
of each other. There are quilters, scrapbookers, tole painters, and more.
So dig out those half done projects, pack them up in the car and get yourself
to the Pacesetter Room from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The cost is $10.00
and includes lunch. Proceeds, if any, will be donated to Church Ministries.
If you have any questions, contact Brenda Lieswald (in the church Nursery
or 626-575-1273) or Kathy Alexander in the Church Office.

What is First Baptist, Temple City,
all about?
Our Church Vision:
We want to be a church in which the greatness of Jesus Christ can be experienced
and entered into by people from all nations and which will continue to
impact and transform the San Gabriel Valley by deeds of love done in His
name.
Our Mission:
Our purpose is...
- To spread the news that Jesus Christ is the Savior
of the world and to make faithful disciples from people of many nations.
(Matthew 28:19-20)
- To demonstrate the reality of God's love for our neighbors
through service to the community (Mark 12:30-31, Luke 10:29-37)
- To glorify God by preparing believers for personal
growth and purposeful action
(Mark 1:16-18, John 15:8)
Our Moto:
Loving God
serving people.
